As ghost hunters we’re always excited to hear about new paranormal films being shot or released.  So, we were thrilled when we found out that a movie was going to be filmed at the actually haunted Allen House in Monticello, Arkansas.  We will definitely keep our eyes peeled on this one and update you with more information as it comes in.

The Perfect Host: A Southern Gothic Tale begins in March in Monticello,
Arkansas.
The story centers around the infamous Allen House, one of the nation’s most haunted
homes. The Allen House has been featured on multiple programs on Biography, A&E,
Discovery and SyFy.
FILM SYNOPSIS:
After years away, Julie returns to her childhood home to bury her grandmother. While
there, she and her young daughter set up temporary residence in the Allen House.
There is something odd about the elderly homeowners, but something is even more
peculiar about the property. Julie soon begins to unearth its history and finds the Allen
House may contain something far more sinister than her elderly hosts.

The Perfect Host is the second feature film directed by Derrick Sims. His directorial
debut, Come Morning, premiered at the 2012 Austin Film Festival and won numerous
festival awards across the US. It’s currently available on VOD, Digital, and BluRay/DVD
from Monarch Home Entertainment and Phase4 Films.
