Tickets officially went on sale today for Universal Halloween Horror Nights. Also available are a multi-night pass which offers 10 Nights of Horror for $129. If you’re one of those people who doesn’t like to wait in long lines you could option for the Front of Line or VIP Package. Halloween Horror Nights takes place on 21 nights starting on September 20 and running through November 2, 2013. All the mazes and scare-zones have now been revealed and there will be a few returning themes as well as new ones as well.
El Cucuy, Latin America’s version of the Boogeyman is coming to Universal Halloween Horror Nights, replacing another infamous Latin legend, La Llorona. Actor Danny Trejo will be adding to the spooky atmosphere by providing narration. Starting Saturday, September 27th, the haunted Variety Arts Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles will be the site of Blackout: Elements. Last year Golden State Haunts and Events called Blackout “the most f’ed up haunted house”. We meant this in an endearing manner of course. This year Blackout: Elements promises visitors a longer, more intimate and significantly more intense experience. Will the extreme energy that is sure to be stirred up by housing such an event stir up the spirits that linger in this 90 year building? What will be scarier, experiencing Blackout itself or running into one of the VAT’s ghostly residents by yourself? We for sure can’t wait to find out. Universal Halloween Horror Nights is going to have mazes and scare-zones related to current and recently released movie and television properties, but they’ve still made room for the classics. They recently announced the Monster Remix: Resurrection Maze featuring dubstep music from Figure will feature creatures created by the winners of the social media “Design a Character” contest as well as the winner of the “Future Frankenstein” contest as featured on the SyFy show Face Off (airing August 20th).
